S2S Conversion Tracking With AppsFlyer - Overview

❗Starting from July 14, 2024, all agency accounts must be whitelisted by Taboola to correctly view and attribute traffic from Taboola. Before launching a campaign, be sure that your agency is whitelisted. We have already whitelisted all agency accounts that have been active in the past two years. However, if you still do not see traffic from Taboola, please contact your account manager or email support@taboola.com.
If you do not use AppsFlyer as an agency, no action is required.

Appsflyer provides the measurement, analytics, engagement, and fraud protection technologies. You can connect Taboola to Appsflyer by server-to-server integration and track conversions. Choose either Direct to App or Web to App methods of implementation depending on your campaign type.

Direct to App

In this method, your campaign creatives link to the App Store/Play Store (via AppsFlyer).

Pros:

  • Does not require custom development.

  • Provides accurate conversion tracking.

Cons:

  • Provides limited scope for conveying your campaign message (because the user lands directly in the App Store/Play Store).

Web to App

In this method:

Your campaign creatives link directly to a custom Landing Page

The CTAs on your Landing Page link to the App Store/Play Store (via AppsFlyer)

Pros:

  • You can convey your message to increase your users’ understanding of your product/ service via a custom Landing Page before they download the app.

  • Provides more accurate conversion tracking.

Cons:

  • Requires implementation of OneLink Smart Script on Landing Page
