Easily and without any coding, create 'Time on Site' and 'Session Depth' conversions, and customize these parameters based on your own logic to get valuable data about user engagement. Then optimize your 'Brand Awareness' and 'Website Engagement' campaigns by including these conversions either in total or at the campaign level, or by creating engaged audience groups for retargeting.
Focus on optimizing towards quality traffic rather than just increasing page views events to achieve better performance.
Refine targeting strategies by utilizing the audience of engaged users. You can use them to retarget, upsell or cross sell, re-engage or simply exclude.
Gain additional data points on your funnel performance and how users interact with it before making a purchase, submitting a lead, adding items to their cart, etc.
Implement engagement conversions instantly without code or technical expertise.
Benefit from the opportunity to separate engagement conversions from performance conversions, such as URL or Event conversions, to optimize or measure campaign performance.
Requirements for Setting Up Engagement Conversions
You need to have basic Realize Pixel implemented.
How to Set Up Engagement Conversions
Go to the Tracking tab.
Select Conversions. Here you can view and edit existing conversions, or set up a new one.
Click + Create to set up a new conversion.
Type Conversion Name. Use a unique and descriptive name for your conversion; for example, ‘Purchase’ or ‘Signup’. It will appear in the Conversions dashboard after you finish creation.
Choose a Conversion Type: Engagement.
Select a template or adjust the sliders to create your own:
The General interest template considers users engaged if they achieve 10 seconds per session and 2 pageviews (or screenviews in the app).
The Deep interest template considers users engaged if they achieve 30 seconds per session.
Custom mode allows you to adjust the metrics sliders based on your own criteria.
Fill Value, Conversion Window, Total Conversions, Total Value, Audience Properties options as usual — nothing has changed there.
Click on Create to save the engagement conversion.
❗Engagement conversion can be Included in Total to optimize the algorithm towards it, or it can be chosen as a Conversion Goal for a specific campaign.
