Welcome to Realize, Taboola’s new ad platform! You might find the platform somewhat familiar, but we’ve made some exciting changes.

In this article, we'll explore the new features and capabilities of Realize, empowering you to elevate your campaigns and achieve even greater results.

What’s Changing?

Aside from the migration from ads.taboola.com to ads.realizeperformance.com, you’ll first notice that the platform has been updated with a new look and feel, including a new logo, a clearer breakdown of accounts, groups, and campaigns, and a left-side navigation bar that provides additional space for more features.

The campaign set-up flow has also been redesigned, including updated marketing objectives (Reach and Engagement) to better reflect your campaign goals. Even more excitingly, when you go to create your ads, you’ll discover brand new creative formats to start testing, such as vertical and carousel ads (see more in the Ad Formats for Engagement section below).

Realize will provide you with a better user experience and more robust campaign management.

What’s New?

Reporting and Metrics

We have updated some metric naming conventions to make it easy for you to report on performance and compare it with other platforms: 'Viewable Impressions' are now called 'Impressions,' and 'Impressions' are now renamed to 'Served Ads.' These changes are also in-line with industry standards.

Additionally, you will see a new metric - Pacing Health Score - within your campaign reporting that shows you how well your campaign is pacing compared to your monthly or lifetime budget.

Ad Formats for Engagement

Realize goes beyond native, with an enhanced portfolio of ad formats designed to capture your audience’s attention from the start and drive conversions over time. Alongside standard native ad formats (including Carousel), you can now also leverage Display and Vertical ads (beta)* to effectively engage with new users.

Plus, our new Social Importer (beta)* lets you seamlessly turn your best-performing social assets into display ads with minimal effort.

To help you measure the impact of these new creative strategies, we’re also introducing "Optimize for Engagement." This feature enables you to easily track "Time on Site" and "Session Depth" using the Pixel, providing valuable insights into user engagement and start to infer intent. You can then utilize bidding strategies to optimize your campaigns to this event, or even create engaged audience groups for retargeting.

*For the betas referenced here, we're collaborating with select partners for testing, with a broader rollout planned for 2025.

Targeting Capabilities

You will continue to have access to a robust targeting toolbox in Realize, including location, device, operating system, custom audiences (using contextual topics, search keywords and mail domains), and your own first party segments (generated via pixel or CRM files).

As of today, we’re also adding Predictive Audiences, which can be created based on a pixel or S2S event within the Audiences tab. These audiences can be targeted in existing or future Realize campaigns - proven to increase CVR by up to 23%.

Lastly, you can now see a breakdown of performance by demographic* in a new reporting tab to gain added insight into the audience you’re tapping into with your Realize campaigns.

*Audience breakdown by demographic is not visible for markets with low coverage.

Navigate to the audience tab in Realize to start creating Predictive Audiences.

Tools for Transparency and Control

Realize is also host to a new suite of campaign management tools, aimed at making your campaign creation and ad optimization efforts much more efficient. These include frequency capping, to give you more control over your prospecting campaigns, real-time ad compliance to get your ads approved quicker, the option to accelerate your budget when launching new campaigns, and a performance simulator tool (beta) to see the potential impact of increasing your budget or target CPA on your Maximize Conversions campaigns.

Additionally, you can continue to capitalize on strong performance and optimize spending using automated Custom Rules.

You will see these new features when managing your existing or new campaigns on Realize.

And we’re not stopping here: Realize is just the first step towards maximizing your performance campaigns outside of search and social.
