Overview
The Performance Simulator is a beta modeling tool in Realize that uses historical data from the same campaign to simulate potential changes in performance or scale in this campaign due to budget adjustments. It helps you identify the sweet spot for your investment.
How Does It Work?
Using historical data, it provides insights to guide smarter budget decisions to enhance your marketing strategy and campaign's performance.
You also have the option to adjust your budget according to the simulation directly in the platform
Which Campaigns Have Access to the Performance Simulator?
Firstly, the Performance Simulator will only be visible for campaigns that have tracking in place and are using Maximize Conversions.
To learn more about these products, you can visit the following pages Taboola Pixel Overview and Setting Your Bid Strategy: Maximize Conversions.
The simulation will be available for most* of the following campaigns:
At least 4 spending days
At least 1 conversion
A daily budget of $10 or more
90% depletion or more
Campaign status is ‘Running’
*Additional considerations may lead to simulator disablement.
How Can I Use The Performance Simulator?
Log in to your account in Realize and navigate to ‘Campaigns’ report.
For all Max Conversions campaigns (without tCPA), in ‘Campaign Name’ column, next to the name, you will notice a new icon Unnamed
If the icon is greyed out - the Performance Simulator is currently not available for the campaign, usually due to insufficient data.
If the icon is active - click on it to launch the Simulator.
When the drawer opens you will see the following:
The Simulation period [ 1 ] - this is the data that the prediction is based on; if any significant changes were made to the campaign since the simulation date it would not be reflected in the prediction.
The campaign’s current state [ 2 ] - including the spend, conversions and CPA.
Additional data points [ 3 ] - Click on the data points to see the stats, compare and analyze the campaign’s performance should you decide to change your settings:
Click the ‘Adjust Budget’ button to set a new budget.
Click ‘Save’ to update your settings, or the ‘Back’ button of your browser to go back to the simulation screen.
❗The budget value will be updated only if your campaign is using Daily budget; if you use Monthly or Lifetime budget - you will need to update the new adjusted budget on your own. Make sure to adjust your Spending Limit if it exists.
Disclaimer [ 4 ] - it’s important to remember that the given simulation is based on campaign’s performance, and does not take into account recent changes to the campaign nor market fluctuations; while the simulation reflects the potential growth in scale, there is no guarantee that you’ll see the exact same results should you decide to adjust your settings.
