The Campaign Pacing Health Score will help you monitor and optimize your Campaign budget utilization by tracking whether your Campaigns are overspending or underspending.
What is Pacing Health Score?
Pacing Health Score helps answer two critical questions about your Campaigns:
Will your budget be depleted by the end of the month?
Is your Campaign spending at the right pace (overpacing or underpacing)?
How It Works
The feature adds a "Pacing" column to your Campaign-level reporting in the Default view. This column displays the pacing rate based on your Campaign Budget Type and is only shown for "Running" Campaigns.
Budget Type Display
Monthly Budgets: Shows Campaign pacing for the current month
Lifetime Budgets: Shows Campaign pacing since the Campaign launch
Daily Budgets: Shows "-" as pacing is not applicable
Understanding Pacing Indicators
The Pacing Health Score uses color-coded indicators to show your Campaign's spending status:
Pacing Range | Status | Color Indicator |
Less than 50% | Highly Under Pacing | Red |
50% to 94.9% | Under Pacing | Yellow |
95% to 109.9% | On Track | Green |
110% to 149.9% | Over Pacing | Yellow |
150% or more | Highly Over Pacing | Red |
Learning Period
During a Campaign's learning period, you may notice budget fluctuations. This is normal, the Pacing Health Score column will stabilize once the learning period ends.
Campaign Status
The Pacing column only appears for Campaigns with a "Running" status. It will not be shown for Campaigns that are:
Expired
Paused
Depleted
Other non-running statuses
Important Notes
The Pacing Health Score is available at the Campaign level
You can only view the Pacing column in the Default view
The feature is not available in "By Day" reporting
Making Campaign Adjustments
If you notice your Campaign is not pacing optimally:
For underpacing (yellow or red indicator below 95%):
Consider reviewing and adjusting your targeting settings
Evaluate if your bid strategy needs modification
Check for any Campaign restrictions that might limit spend
For overpacing (yellow or red indicator above 110%):
Review your budget allocation
Consider adjusting your targeting to be more specific
Evaluate if budget increases are needed for high-performing Campaigns
