This is a comprehensive guide that will explain how to read and address a Limited Scale warning of your ads. ‘Tags’ or ‘Labels’ act as machine-learning-powered mechanisms, helping advertisers align with both Taboola’s policies and the specific guidelines of certain publishers. You would be able to see this in the form of a tooltip in your Ads report, as you hover over your item (only if a limitation exists).
The content below provides description of various label types used in content quality control and outlines the necessary actions advertisers should take to resolve flagged issues. Issues with content can be detected anywhere in the ad creative (e.g., Thumbnail, LP url, Headline, etc.).
Warning Types
Purpose:
The warnings are specific labels that are designed to identify policy violations in some of Taboola’s supply and give advertisers visibility on the committed violations and its impact on the scale.
Each tag/label includes:
Label Name: The identifying name of the issue (e.g., ‘weight Loss Supplements).
Description: A detailed explanation of why this label was applied (e.g., ‘Any item referring to the selling of a product intended to supplement a person’s diet by taking a pill, capsulate, tablet, powder or liquid.).
What To Do: Recommended steps for resolving the issue and gaining scale on Taboola's supply (e.g., ‘Workout supplements are allowed’).
Note: Please note that your ad’s scale will be affected only if you’re targeting one and/ or all of the highlighted sites. If you are not targeting these sites, then you can disregard this warning and keep it for future reference if you wish to serve on these sites.
If you are serving, or intend to serve on these sites in the future, then please resolve the issues to expand your ad’s reach and maximize your campaign’s potential.
After the violation has been fixed on your end, your item will be in a ‘Pending’ state and you can expect our content review process to take a few hours before you hear back on the decision. If you still see warnings, it means the issues have not been fixed or have not been correctly resolved.
Disclaimer
Lastly, please note that removing these restrictions does not guarantee placement with all publishers, as other factors may still affect ad delivery.
